Applications for primary school for next year's rising 5's - children between September 2007 and August 2008 - opens on the 7th November 2011 at www.devon.gov.uk/admissionsonline and closes on the 15th January 2012.

It is often the case that parents of children with Spring or Summer birthdays do not realise they MUST apply before the closing date of the 15th January.  Not applying in time can severely disadvantage applicants for oversubscribed and popular schools.  In some cases children already attending on-site nurseries and pre schools, or with siblings in the school are refused places - this is very distressing for all concerned.

Any parent who cannot apply online or has further questions can call the Helpline on 08451551019 but an online application is recommended for speed security.
